🍋 Making lemonade series: ping-pong fun

Playing ping-pong is fun. It requires as much effort as one wants to give it, but it requires focus enough to forget about everything else.

The truth is I haven’t played much, I am an absolute beginner. And that’s fun, too. It’s about learning and having fun. Winning helps, I must confess.

Last summer I bought a table to play at home in the Spanish countryside. It’s smaller than the standard size, but that’s fine as long as you are not trying to train for the Olympics, which we are not. And it folds, so I can play alone. Ping, pong, ping, out, start again.

Anyway, we got the table and put it together, not without some effort. And definitely with some disconcerting moments, when my mother suggested that maybe, only maybe, we needed a man (my brother) to finish the job. Without that comment, we might have given up, but thank you, madre, for that little push in our egos and our tools.

Once we started playing that was it. It was fun playing with my sister. It was fun playing with my nephew. With my brother. But it was really fun playing with my cousin. We could not stop. It was like when we were little, and we were the first at the sea (or the pool) and the last to leave.
